Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam Visits Hungry Ear Records

Dennie and I were thrilled to meet and hang out with Pearl Jam’s Eddie Vedder, who vacationed nearby in Kailua over the Christmas 2013 break. During that extended stay he visited both Hungry Ear Records and Coconut Grove Music several times to purchase gifts and supplies, and he was always gracious with his time, glad to take pictures or sign autographs for anyone who asked. The building always buzzed with excitement after every “Eddie sighting.” He left us with a lot of nice stories which for privacy’s sake we can’t share, but suffice it to say that Eddie is as kind, generous and genuine as any rock star that we’ve ever encountered.
